The Crucial 4-Hour Rule
For the first 4 hours immediately following your Botox or Xeomin appointment, observe these core rules to keep the product localized in target facial muscles:
- Remain Upright: Do not lie down flat or bend over for extended periods. Keep your head elevated.
- Avoid Touching or Rubbing: Do not rub, massage, or apply firm pressure to the treated facial areas.
- No Headwear or Helmets: Avoid tight hats, headbands, or helmets that press against the forehead.

First 24 Hours: Physical Activity & Heat
Avoid strenuous workouts, heavy cardio, saunas, hot tubs, or intense sun exposure for 24 hours. Increased blood circulation and elevated body temperature can increase localized bruising and diminish uptake efficiency.
Skincare and Makeup Guidelines
Gentle washing with a mild cleanser is fine on the evening of treatment. Avoid aggressive facial scrubs, facial massages, microneedling, or chemical peels for at least 7 to 14 days after injection.
