Common and Mild Side Effects
Botox and Xeomin are FDA-approved treatments with long-established safety records. Most side effects are localized, mild, and resolve within a few days. Common temporary reactions include:
- Minor localized redness or swelling at injection points
- Small pinpoint bruising
- Mild, temporary tension headache following forehead treatment
- Slight tenderness or tightness in treated muscles

Rare Contraindications and Risks
Serious adverse events are extremely rare when administered by a qualified medical professional. However, patients should inform their injector if they have underlying neuromuscular conditions (such as ALS or Myasthenia Gravis), severe egg/protein allergies, or are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
